Pinterest announced this week “Secret Boards.” According to Pinterest, “Secret boards give you a place for things you’re not quite ready to share yet, like a surprise party, special gift ideas, or even planning for a new baby. We’re testing out the feature.” They have started with allowing accounts to have 3 secret boards. I do hope they offer more. Seems only logical that they let you have unlimited public boards that you should have unlimited secret boards.

In my demo video, you’ll see I used the board to create a private Real Estate pinboard.  In addition, you’ll learn about using the Pin It button and how to get a “verified” website by Pinterest.

  1. Hi Laura, Pinterest is making a ton of improvements and I’m glad that they are kicking things up a notch. I like the idea of verifying my website – it lends some credibility to your boards and your branding on the site.

    Thanks for the walk through.

  2. Here is another Pinterest tip:

The Pinterest bookmarklet (Pinterest Pin It) button is cross-browser and cross-platform. This means that it will work on your Mac, PC, and even your mobile devices such as an iPad mini.

The easiest way to get it setup is to enable iCloud on your Mac and mobile iOS devices. Then just open Safari and drag the Pinterest button to the Safari bookmarks bar. Within a couple seconds, your iOS devices will have the Pin it bookmarklet.

Just tap the Pinterest bookmarklet whenever you want to pin something from the Safari app to Pinterest.
